October Night Routine Ideas

Ahh the fall time! Why is it the loveliest and coziest season of them all? It seems like around this time of year, with the sun setting earlier, and the air generally feeling cooler, I have a lot less energy. I made a list of things to do this fall that are not only fun and exciting but that won't take up too much time or energy, which is great for the evenings. They are easy, fun and very fall inspired. I hope you enjoy!

1. Try a new fall inspired recipe like pumpkin cookies or chai muffins.
2. If you have a dog, take them outside to play and run around with. If you don't have a dog borrow a friends!
3. Bundle up, put on your favourite podcast and go for a fall walk, enjoying all the beautiful colours
4. Meet a friend at a coffee shop and just chat and chill. Or go alone and take a book with you.
5. Start a new book or bundle up and go to your local library to browse for a new one
6. Light some candles and incense, turn on your favourite music and do yoga at home in the dark. If you're not into yoga try dancing to release some tension!
7. Start a new project to keep yourself busy through the cold months. Start an online business, learn a new hobby or start a blog.
8. Put your headphones on and listen to your most fall inspired playlist, whatever this may be for you. I like to do this while I clean my house, it's very relaxing and soothing to me.
9. Paint pumpkins, I've started to do this as an adult because I find carving pumpkins to be veeery exhausting and time consuming. Also painted pumpkins give you so much more opportunity to be creative!
10. When in doubt, put on your comfiest pajamas, make a cup of tea or hot chocolate, crawl into bed and watch old Halloween or Thanksgiving movies from your childhood. I love Halloweentown, The Blair Witch Project and all the Thanksgiving Friends episodes ( a wide variety of genres lol).

How do you like to spend your evenings during this season?
