DIY Lip Balms

Every winter I like to make my own homemade lip balm because where I live, it is very very dry and chapped lips are inevitable. Homemade lip balm is so much nicer to use than the stuff from the store because it's all natural and really affordable to make.  I love making these lip balms not only for myself to use, but to give as gifts! They are small, cute and very thoughtful. What else can you ask for really?

Ingredients
1/4 cup Cocoa Butter
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
2 Tbsp Beeswax
10 drops of essential oil of your choice
Lip Balm Tubes (from any craft store)
(makes about 10 lip balms)

Directions
1. Melt the cocoa butter, coconut oil and beeswax in a double broiler pot.  If you do not have a double broiler pot, you can use a regular pot on low heat.  Be very careful to continually stir so you do not burn the ingredients.

2. Once ingredients are melted completely, remove pot from heat and mix in the essential oils.

3. Pour the mixture into lip balm tubes.  It is best if you use a container with a spout to pour so that it doesn't spill everywhere (I learned this from experience ha).

4. You are done! Let the lip balm tubes chill in the fridge until they are solid and place the lids back on the tubes.  If you want to give these away as gifts you can make cute labels for them.  There are so many different packaging ideas on Pinterest that I love to use as inspo. Get as creative as you like!
