20 Ways To Enjoy Early Winter Mornings


     I've never been much of a morning person and I find it especially hard to enjoy mornings in the dead of winter when the sun doesn't rise till later and it's freezing cold out.  But I do try my best to wake up about a half an hour early and enjoy the quiet morning before I begin my day. I came up with a list of things you can do to help you enjoy winter mornings more. I really believe that when you roll out of bed and leave your house half awake you really don't set a positive tone for the rest of your day. I encourage you to wake up earlier than you are used to, even if it's just 15 minutes, and try to really enjoy and appreciate the mornings. I promise it will have a huge impact on the rest of your day!

1. Watch your favourite Youtube channel 
2. Read a few pages of a book 
3. Make breakfast, or even make it the night before so it's ready to go 
4. Spend some time catching up on social media
5. Listen to an audio book while you sit on the couch and wake up
6. Read your horoscope
7. Do some light stretching or yoga
8. Make your favourite tea or coffee
9. Try going outside for a quick walk and enjoy the cool crisp air 
10. Write in your journal and set some goals for your day or week
11. Play with your dog or cat if you have one
12. Or better yet, take them with you back to bed and cuddle
13. Do a little online shopping (or browsing) at your favourite store
14. Spend some time on Pinterest
15. Put on some music and tidy your house up
16. Write up some fun to do lists like movies to watch or restaurants to visit
17. Wash your face first thing and put on a mask for 10 minutes
18. Have a nice warm shower first thing in the morning
19. Spend an extra 10 minutes on your hair or makeup and really enjoy the process of it
20. Take the time to make your bed with all your favourite throw pillows
