24 Things I've Learned in 24 Years

        So I'm pretty sure that these posts are meant for birthdays but I figured since I'm about half way to my next birthday, why not! I feel like most of the things that I've learned, that are actually valuable, I learned in the last few years of my life.  Some of these I've learned from making big mistakes and some I am still working on today.  I think that the important thing to remember is that as long as we are learning we will always be growing, because that's what life is all about!  

1. Slow down and enjoy your life

2. You do not need everyone to love you or even like you 

3. Nice boys are underrated 

4. Family is pretty much everything

5. Whenever you feel self conscious about something, fake it till you make it 

6. Everyone is also faking it so don't worry  

7. Dogs are always the answer to turn a bad day around 

8. Be nice to people and you'll receive the same in return 

9. Being shy is not a bad thing and you should embrace it

10. Everyone you meet in life is there to teach you something

11. Unhappy people need the most love 

12. If someone is unkind to you it is a reflection of them and their insecurites

13. Hard work will always pay off

14. Your goals in life will constantly change and that's OK

15. People will come and go in your life and that's also OK

16. Know your values and stick to them 

17. Comparing your life to someone else's is not only unfair but it also doesn't make sense

18. Choosing to do what you love is not selfish

19. If you try your best at something that is always enough 

20. Although advice from others is helpful, always trust yourself over anyone else

21. Don't be afraid to live differently than other people 

22. When you're questioning everything in life, go back to the basics 

23. It's OK to have bad days, just know that it will pass because life comes in waves

24. Don't regret anything because it probably taught you something important
